Azamara Cruises, formerly Azamara Club Cruises, is a premium cruise line owned by Sycamore Partners, known for its intimate, club-like ships and Destination Immersion experiences, offering longer stays in port and unique cultural explorations. Azamara was a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. until 2021. Azamara currently operates four ships: Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest, Azamara Pursuit, and Azamara Onward. The ships are R-class ships that were built for Renaissance Cruises between 1997 and 2001.
Azamara focuses on providing immersive experiences in the destinations it visits, with longer stays in port, more overnights, and a variety of shore excursions. Their ships are smaller and more intimate, allowing them to visit smaller ports that larger vessels cannot access. Azamara is known for its inclusive fare, which includes gratuities, selected alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea, bottled water, sodas, access to self-service laundries, shuttle services, and concierge services. Azamara offers a range of shore excursions, including culinary tours, cycling tours, cultural exchanges, and evening outings. Azamara prides itself on its high level of personalized service, with a staff-to-guest ratio of 1:2. Azamara aims to inspire curious and passionate travelers to spend more time exploring the world through immersive cruises. Azamara is headquartered in Coconut Grove, FL.
