GUIDE / INSTRUCTIONS

Guacamole is a popular Mexican dip or spread made from mashed ripe avocados, typically seasoned with lime juice, salt, and other ingredients like cilantro, onion, and jalapeño.

Tips:

  • Use Ripe Avocados: Choose avocados that are dark green to nearly black and yield slightly to gentle pressure.
  • Fresh Lime Juice: Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor.
  • Prevent Browning: Store guacamole in an airtight container or wrap tightly in plastic to limit exposure to air.
  • Adjust Spiciness: Remove the seeds from jalapeños to reduce the heat.
  • Taste and Season: Taste the guacamole and adjust seasoning as needed
  • Prepare Avocados: Slice avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  • Mash: Use a fork or potato masher to mash the avocados to your desired texture (chunky or smooth).
  • Mix Ingredients: Add lime juice, red onion, tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, and salt. Gently mix until combined.
  • Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust with more lime juice or salt if needed.
  • Serve: Serve immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a topping for your favorite dishes.
