Preheat oven to 300°F (148°C). Grease an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking dish with butter. Mix milk, eggs, 2 T (25 g) sugar and cinnamon together and set aside.
Working quickly, layer half the apples, half the raisins and half the rolls in the baking dish.
Repeat, ending with roll layer on top. Pour milk mixture over this; dot with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, remaining sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.
