  • 1/4 oz Herbsaint
  • 3 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
  • Lemon peel
  • 1 cube sugar

  • 3/4 oz rye whiskey
  • 3/4 oz cognac
  • 3/4 oz sweet vermouth
  • 1 tsp bénédictine
  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

  • Pack an Old-Fashioned glass with ice (to chill the glass). In a second Old-Fashioned glass, place the sugar cube and add the Peychaud’s bitters. Crush the sugar cube with a spoon. Add the whiskey. Empty the ice from the first glass and coat with Herbsaint. Add mixture from the second glass and garnish with lemon peel.

  • Pour all ingredients in a rocks glass. Add ice and stir.
