MSC Seashore sailing away

MSC Seashore, the first Seaside EVO-class ship in MSC’s fleet, is a stunning mix of Italian elegance and modern innovation. From luxurious accommodations to world-class dining and exciting onboard activities, this ship offers a dynamic cruise experience.

The Stateroom Experience

Please click on each image and feel free to move it around to get a full view of the space as they are 360 images.

Our Deluxe Balcony Stateroom, 13265 was a perfect retreat, offering modern furnishings, a spacious layout, and a private balcony with sweeping ocean views. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the sleek bathroom featured a glass-enclosed shower. MSC’s stylish European design was evident throughout, making it a chic yet cozy space to relax after a day of exploring the ship.

The cabin is perfect for families or small groups. One standout feature is the sofa that converts into twin bunk beds, maximizing space without compromising comfort. During the day, the sleek sofa provides a cozy spot to relax, while at night, it seamlessly transforms into an additional sleeping area, making the stateroom ideal for up to four guests. There are 2 layouts of the balcony cabin, one with the bed closer to the balcony and the other with the sofa closer to the balcony.  As you can see we were in the cabin with the bed closest to the balcony and our preference would have been to have the sofa close to the balcony so you can sit and watch the water.  Also, as you can see in the video the entrance into the living space is a little tight when the sofa is the first area you walk into.  While we were quite comfortable in the size and space of this stateroom, you may want to take note of what your requirements or desires are.  The balcony cabins are 150-200 ft2 / 14-19 m2.

The mini-bar setup on MSC Seashore offers a convenient selection of refreshments, perfect for unwinding in the comfort of your stateroom. Stocked with a variety of beverages, including bottled water, soft drinks, juices, and alcoholic options like beer and miniature spirits, it caters to different tastes. Guests will also find a selection of snacks to complement their drinks. The mini-bar is replenished regularly, and items are available for purchase, with pricing listed for easy reference. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet moment on your private balcony or a late-night refreshment, the MSC Seashore mini-bar adds an extra touch of indulgence to your cruise experience. The costs for the mini-bar items are highlighted in the video below.

Cabin 13265 on MSC Seashore comes with both advantages and drawbacks, depending on your priorities. One of the main disadvantages is its distance from the ship’s central areas, where most of the entertainment, dining, and activities take place. This means guests may face a long walk to reach popular venues like the atrium, theater, or main dining rooms. However, a notable perk is its proximity to the rear panoramic elevators, which tend to be less crowded than the central ones, allowing for quicker access to other decks. Additionally, this location provides a convenient route to the buffet area, making it easy to grab a meal or snack without much hassle. While it may not be ideal for those who prefer to be in the heart of the action, it offers a quieter, more accessible alternative for reaching key areas of the ship.

Another drawback of our cabin was the presence of two connecting doors to adjacent staterooms. While these doors are great for families or groups traveling together, they can be a downside for those seeking a quieter, more private experience. The extra doors seemed to allow more noise to filter through from neighboring cabins, making it easier to hear conversations, TV sounds, or general movement. While not a dealbreaker, it did slightly impact the sense of seclusion we prefer in a stateroom. If privacy and sound insulation are a priority, opting for a non-connecting cabin might be a better choice. As a side note, the TV channels were minimal with added costs for movies and such.

The internet speed on MSC Seashore was surprisingly impressive, making it easy to stay connected while at sea. With an average download speed ranging from 98 to 134 Mbps and with an upload speed ranging from 2.75 Mbps to 66.94 Mbps, streaming, video calls, and social media browsing were smooth and reliable. We opted for the Browse and Stream Cruise Package, which was priced at $19.90 per day, offering unlimited access to popular apps, web browsing, and even streaming services. While upload speeds were variable, the overall performance exceeded expectations, making it one of the better Wi-Fi experiences we’ve had on a cruise.

Passengers with mobility issues should ensure they book a handicap-accessible stateroom if they plan to bring a scooter on board. Standard cabins often have narrow entryways and limited space, making it difficult to maneuver or store a scooter inside. If left in the hallway, scooters can create a safety hazard, obstructing passageways and making it challenging for other guests and crew to move freely—especially during peak times or emergencies. Accessible cabins are designed with wider doorways, extra space, and convenient layouts to accommodate mobility devices safely. Planning ahead and reserving the right stateroom ensures a comfortable, hassle-free cruise experience while keeping walkways clear for everyone.

When staying in a balcony cabin, it’s important to close your curtains before going to sleep to ensure privacy in the morning. While the ocean views may feel secluded at night, cruise ships often dock side by side in port, meaning you could wake up with another ship’s balcony cabins just feet away from your window. This can lead to some unexpected—and potentially awkward—encounters with passengers on the neighboring ship. To avoid unintentionally putting on a show for fellow cruisers, it’s best to draw the curtains before bed, ensuring a private and comfortable wake-up experience.

The Onboard Activities and Entertainment Experience

MSC Seashore offers a variety of pools and hot tubs designed for relaxation and fun. The ship features the expansive Jungle Pool, which has a retractable roof, making it ideal for all-weather swimming. The Infinity Pool, located aft on Deck 8, provides stunning ocean views with its glass-walled design, while the Long Island Pool on Deck 18 is the main pool area, offering plenty of loungers and a spacious sun deck. The Bridge of Sighs is a glass-floor bridge, 72 feet above the Infinity Pool, offering breathtaking views and was a favorite photo spot. Families will enjoy the Pirate’s Cove Aquapark, complete with waterslides and interactive water features. For a more tranquil experience, the Top 19 Exclusive Solarium features a private sundeck and a dedicated pool for Aurea Experience guests. Additionally, multiple whirlpools and hot tubs are scattered throughout the ship, including those near the pools and in the MSC Yacht Club’s private sun deck, providing guests with the perfect spots to unwind while enjoying ocean views. The Adventure Trail is a ropes course adding an element of excitement, challenging guests to navigate elevated obstacles while taking in the sea breeze.  We didn’t find any of these venues overcrowded, you could easily enjoy any one of these areas at any time.  If we had to provide a constructive comment, it would be that the large port hot tub was not as hot as we expected.

The Seashore offers a spectacular lineup of entertainment with Broadway-style productions performed in the Madison Theater, a stunning 1,200-seat venue. Guests can enjoy a variety of high-energy shows featuring talented singers, dancers, acrobats, and musicians, with themes ranging from classic Hollywood glamour to modern pop hits. The ship’s entertainment program includes six original productions, such as “Total Divas,” which was playing while we were onboard.  In addition to the main theater shows, the Le Cabaret Rouge on Deck 8 provides an immersive nightlife experience with live music, aerial performances, and vibrant dance acts inspired by Parisian cabarets. Whether guests prefer dazzling stage productions or intimate live music performances, MSC Seashore ensures there’s never a dull moment at sea.

The Dining Experiences

MSC Seashore provides a diverse selection of dining options, and we took full advantage of both complimentary and specialty venues and restaurants.  We ate mostly in the marketplace buffet, however we did try the central park restaurant (Main Dining Room) on several occasions.  We bought the 2 specialty restaurant dining experiences which was $95 per person.  We chose Butcher’s Cut Steakhouse and Kaito Teppanyaki restaurant and both were outstanding.  The food quality and taste were excellent! Since we did not purchase a drink package, we opted to visit Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar everyday for a sweet treat or a coffee and absolutely  loved it.  We would highly recommend this extra cost sweet indulgence (with or without alcohol). It was our favorite on the ship.

The Central Park Restaurant Tour De Brunch on MSC Seashore offers a globally inspired dining experience, perfect for those who enjoy a leisurely mid-morning meal at sea. This elegant venue serves a curated selection of special dishes from around the world, featuring everything from Mediterranean-inspired omelets and Italian frittatas to French pastries, Asian dumplings, and Latin American chilaquiles. Complementing the diverse menu is a lineup of signature brunch cocktails, including mimosa variations with exotic fruit juices, espresso martinis, and MSC’s signature Bellini twists. Whether indulging in a classic eggs Benedict, savoring a freshly made crêpe, or sipping a handcrafted cocktail, guests can enjoy a sophisticated brunch in a stylish setting, making it a highlight of the MSC Seashore dining experience. The food was tasty and the service in the dining room was prompt and attentive.

  • Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar: A haven for chocolate lovers, Venchi’s artisanal treats and rich hot chocolates were irresistible. Watching the chocolatiers at work while indulging in a decadent praline was a true highlight.
  • Butcher’s Cut: The ship’s signature steakhouse delivered on all fronts. Our perfectly cooked filet mignon paired beautifully with a bold red wine, and the tableside service added a touch of elegance.
  • Kaito Teppanyaki: This Japanese specialty restaurant was not just a meal but an experience. Our chef’s showmanship and skillful cooking kept us entertained, while the perfectly seared scallops and flavorful fried rice made it a must-visit.
  • Marketplace Buffet: With an extensive selection of international cuisine, the buffet impressed with its fresh pasta stations, Mediterranean specialties, and made-to-order pizzas.

MSC Seashore has 5 specialty restaurants; 2 that we mentioned and enjoyed: Butcher’s Cut and Kaito Teppanyaki, and 3 others:  Kaito Sushi Bar which boasts a moving sushi conveyor belt, HOLA! Tacos & Cantina which features Latin American and Mexican-inspired cuisine in family style dining and Ocean Cay which serves Mediterranean-style fish and seafood dishes made with fresh ingredients. While all of them seemed popular we opted not to visit the last 3.

The Yacht Club: MSC’s Exclusive Ship-Within-a-Ship

For those seeking an ultra-luxurious experience, the MSC Yacht Club is a game-changer. This private enclave offers exclusive suites, a dedicated restaurant, a stunning private pool deck, and 24-hour butler service. Guests enjoy priority embarkation, premium drinks, and an elevated level of personalized service that rivals top luxury lines. If you’re looking for a more refined and intimate cruise experience, the Yacht Club is worth the splurge.

A little bit about our trip

We are providing our unbiased cruise review of what it was like to sail on MSC Seashore.  We paid for this trip, however, note that pricing varies depending on location, # of port stops, duration of voyage, amenities signed up for, etc.   We chose to not purchase a drink package, we purchased the internet streaming package, we picked the bella experience and while onboard we purchased dinner at 2 specialty restaurants.  We chose a 7 day voyage, round trip from Port Canaveral with stops in Ocean Cay, Costa Maya, Cozumel in early September 2024.
